Wow! So it’s been a while since I put one of these posts up, but I feel like so much AMAZING stuff has happened in the last few weeks that it is definitely time!
But first – the awkward…
Awkward
- Starting work at a new company, and – once again – not knowing anyone’s name. (However, it’s only been 1.5 weeks – so I will try to remedy this before I hit the 4 month mark this time around!)
- Trying to walk up the stairs at work like a lady, and instead getting the toe of my shoe caught on the flare of my pant leg (on the opposite leg) and almost falling on my face. Yeah, don’t ask how it happened b/c I’m not so sure either.
- Hearing a guy I work with sneeze 11 times in a row, every single time he sneezes – to the point where it sounds like he is choking because he can’t catch his breath in between sneezes and trying really hard not to laugh.
- Watching a replay of the royal wedding on Sunday night (… don’t judge me!) when Geraldo Riveira broke in (yeah, apparently Fox News was replaying the wedding) with talks of nuclear security threats, and I had to go wake my parents up at 11pm because I was scared (… turns out, it was OBL, not nukes…so that was good).
Awesome
- Starting my new job and LOVING every second of it. Being the marketing & circulation coordinator at a publishing company is kind of awesome! Yay, yay, yay!
- The royal wedding!! I don’t even know what else to say – it was amazing. Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Princess of Wales is my new hero (well – she was before, but that dress … oh my God.)
- Being able to call that Catherine would wear lace on her wedding day (although, her dress wasn’t entirely lacey, so I guess I didn’t entirely predict it… but close-ish).
- OBL getting shot in the head. I guess it sucks for him, but it’s awesome for the other 6 billion people on the planet who have been living in fear of him for 10 years – so yay us!
- Buying cute new summer clothes as a reward for starting the new job… a girl’s gotta look cute!
