2012 Holiday Gift Guide | #2 – Gifts for Wrists

A couple of weeks ago, my boyfriend and I went to tag our Christmas tree. It was a glorious experience; an afternoon spent wandering around through a field of Christmas trees. (Had the trees been taller, it would certainly be more appropriate to call it a “forest,” but since the tallest tree was only about 10 feet, we’ll stick to field.)

We found the perfect tree after searching for about 90 minutes, and sometime after Thanksgiving we’ll head back to the farm to have it cut so we can bring it home. I also intend to get super crafty and make a bunch of ornaments and decorations… because Pinterest has convinced me that I can become the next Martha Stewart. (Be sure you check out my Pinterest boards!) If I ever get around to getting crafty, I’ll keep you posted…

What does that have to do with today’s Holiday Gift Guide picks? Nothing. I just wanted to share. If you want to see what the picks for today’s Gift Guide are, head on over to the next page!

Featured Item: Pave Initial Bracelet – Golden, $120.00  (Neiman Marcus)
Somewhere along the line, I became obsessed with all things monogrammed, and – as a result – my initials. I also became obsessed with bracelet stacks. And while I’m generally not a fan of gold, there is something about this initial bracelet that makes me want to buy the entire alphabet (but I should probably just stick to one letter, for the sake of my bank account).
If you aren’t much of a gold fan yourself, Tai also makes this bracelet in black/silver, in addition to quite a few other pretty unique and very beautiful bracelets.

Featured Item: Burberry Check Cufflinks, $165.00 (Nordstrom)
Unfortunately for them, guys tend to get the short end of the stick when it comes to pretty, shiny things to adorn their wrists. Of course, some men do choose to wear bracelets, but there is no way I could make a recommendation on a men’s bracelet, mostly because they range from super-duper preppy, to wicked rock and roll, with very little in the way of “classic” or “understated.” So I’ve decided to go with an option that all guys will probably need at least once in their lives – cufflinks.
I picked a pair of very plain cufflinks in 2010, but this year I’ve decided to spiff it up a bit, going with a set of Burberry cufflinks that have the iconic Burberry check in an understated color scheme.
