Princess Madeleine Pulls A “Do You Know Who I Am?”

Sweden’s Princess Madeleine – daughter of The King and younger sister of Crown Princess Victoria – was recently pulled over in Sweden for driving in a lane reserved for buses.

At the time, she reportedly told the police officer that – as a member of the royal family – she had immunity from the traffic ticket and was sent on her way. It appears now, however, that Princess Madeleine was mistake. She does not, in fact, have immunity and has been retroactively issued a ticket.

According to a palace spokesman, she did not say she had immunity, only that the vehicle she was driving was permitted to be in that lane (due to it’s registration type).

In more interesting news, Her Royal Highness is getting married on Saturday to New Yorker Chris O’Neill!

The Swedish Royal Family has a tradition of brides wearing the Cameo Tiara on their big day, but Madeleine seems like one who wouldn’t mind mixing things up a little. We’re anxious to see which one she chooses, as the Swedes have quite the collection.
