Baby, it’s cold out there. No seriously – it’s cold out there! Most of the country was bombarded with snow and ice this week (including the Southern states, who simply did not know how to deal), and it was just… not fun. But on the bright side, it’s Friday! Which means it’s time to kick back and relax for the next two days.
While I was in college there were a couple of times that my friends and I were trapped inside due to snowstorms. When Western Massachusetts gets hit with snow and can’t handle it, you know it’s bad! When that happened we would act like the very responsible adults that we were… which meant we walked, not drove, down to the nearest liquor store and picked up some Peppermint Schnapps, then hit the super market for loads of hot coco and marshmallows.
Oh college, I miss you. And in honor of that, let’s celebrate this chilly weekend with…
Peppermint Hot Chocolate
- 1 oz peppermint schnapps
- 5 oz hot chocolate
Directions.
- Pour the peppermint schnapps into an Irish coffee cup/mug
- Add the hot chocolate.
- Stir.
- Top with whipped cream, garnish with some peppermint candy, and serve.
