Cocktail Hour | Birthday Prosecco Cocktail

I can’t believe what I’m about to type – tomorrow, June 4, is my 29th birthday. TWENTY-NINE! There is honestly a part of me that still thinks I’m 22 (and I absolutely still feel 22… until I try to do something a 22 year old would do), so the fact that I am about to enter the last year of my 20s feels absolutely ridiculous. To celebrate I’m sharing with you a cocktail recipe that has all of my favorite things: Prosecco and Triple Sec.

I snagged this recipe from BBC Good Food – while Brits may not be known for their culinary skills (and as they are the inventors of Shepard’s Pie I have absolutely no problem with their culinary skills), their cocktail skills are top-notch.

This cocktail is also super simple. Simply combine one part clementine juice with one part Triple Sec and three parts Prosecco in a champagne flute. You can garnish with a variety of elements – the recipe suggests a sprig of rosemary – I would go for some of the clementine rind used for the juice.

Seriously – super simple and a touch more sophisticated than a Mimosa (which is obviously my go-to brunch bev).

For the record, the article also had 9 other great Prosecco cocktail options – how gorgeous are they?
