The Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) accompanied her husband Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, to the Tusk Conservation Awards.
The event is the inaugural award ceremony where individuals and corporations will be honored for their efforts in the conversation of wildlife and endangered species. As patron of Tusk Trust, the organization hosting the event, Prince William and his wife were invited to be guests of honor at the event.
Kate’s appearance was highly anticipated, as this had been her first official engagement since she went on maternity leave. When she appeared with Prince William to start Ring O’ Fire last month, it was an unplanned, impromptu appearance on her part.
This most anticipated portion of the evening, however, was what Kate would be wearing. Our fair Duchess – as always – made a great sartorial choice, selecting a silver sequinned gown from Jenny Packham. There is a dress that’s rumored to be the “exact match” of the gown – but in our opinion there are some significant differences and we’re thinking this may have been a bespoke piece.
