Ok so first of all – I have no idea who reads this (probably no one!) but I would like to take this opportunity to highly, highly recommend the book “Bitter is the New Black” by Jennifer Lancaster. It’s the memoirs of a woman who was laid off from her amazing job and spent nearly 2 years searching high and low for employment. It sounds depressing but I promise it isn’t – it’s hilarious.
Second of all – I am 22 years old and lead the life of a retiree. Scratch that – I’m pretty sure that retirees lead much more exciting lives than I do. My sister and her friends are in the kitchen getting ready to go out and sound like they’re having a delightful time, and I am waiting for them to leave so I can peacefully go to sleep.
I need to wake up at FIVE AM to get to work in Boston (Providence to Boston – aka the worst commute known to mankind) and thus must be asleep by 11pm at the absolute latest so that I will be rested enough to shower and get ready for work and get in my car by 6:15AM, otherwise I’ll never make it into Boston before like – 9, and since I need to be there by 8 that isn’t an option. No joke. The traffic really is THAT bad.
Oh how I miss my commute to Wakefield, RI. It was truly amazing – even if thinking about that job makes me break into hives/hysterical sobs.
Ok – peace out muffins.
