Lindsay Lohan is STILL the luckiest girl on the planet. Her lawyer appealed on the basis that since Lindsay’s was on probation for a misdemeanor offense she – essentially – had to be granted bail for violating probation and couldn’t be sent directly to jail until her next trial (which is what the judge did this afternoon).
Another judge – not the judge who sent her to jail – granted a writ of habeas corpus. So basically, Lindsay went to jail for the afternoon but is now home. She’ll be wearing a SCRAM anklet (for the 3rd time), is forbidden from going anywhere that alcohol is the main service offered (ie: bars), and must submit to random drug tests and searches by police.
Anyone wanna place a bet on when she’ll set the SCRAM anklet off?
On another note: I feel like I just did a case brief on Lindsay Lohan. Law school is officially taking over my life.
She's out already. Can only laugh at the court. Pure unprofessionalismalism on the court's part.
Ah ha! And she begins thinking like a laywer.
