So, yesterday was the big day – the wedding of Price William & Kate Middleton, now know as the Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge. Incase you missed all the coverage (& with technology today, I’m not sure how that would be possible) here’s a recap of some outfits, and some pictures of the big event.

Catherine’s Dresses:
Catherine wore 2 dresses (both designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen), a breathtaking lace gown with a 2.5 meter train & princess bottom & the “Halo” tiara (designed in the 1930’s for The Queen Mum by Cartier) for the ceremony and afternoon reception, and a simple white strapless gown with diamonete embellishments for the evening reception, where she could – quite literally – let her hair down (she nixed the tiara & the 1/2 up-do). I dunno about you, but I would have kept the tiara.

Pippa’s Dresses:
Phillipa (aka Pippa), Catherine’s younger sister, wore an amazing white floor length gown/bride’s maid dress with cap sleeved and a cowl neckline (also Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen) before changing into a green evening gown for the reception.

Eugenie & Beatrice:
Princesses Eugenie & Beatrice wore some, er, interesting hats with their outfits. Unfortunately for the duo, their choice of headwear or clothing were not well received.

Who wore it better? Catherine’s dress bears a striking resemblance to the dress worn by American movie star turned princess, Grace Kelly. |
