Just two months after Reed Krakoff announced he was departing the iconic leather brand, Coach has announced his replacement as Creative Director.
Although there was tons of speculation earlier this month, it turns out that Coach’s newest leader isn’t going to be one of the departing heads of Louis Vuitton or Mulberry. Coach has instead decided to replace Krakoff with Stuart Vevers, who was most recently the creative director at Loewe.
What’s most interesting about Vevers appointment, is that Women’s Wear Daily failed to mention him even as a dark horse in the running for the position. However, Vevers is definitely well-qualified for the job, given his expertise in accessories, and his previous tenure as the creative director at Mulberry and stints at Louis Vuitton and Givenchy.
