In the 1980’s the streets of London were ruled by the Sloane Ranger. Rich young women who essentially defined the word “preppy.” Today, those rich young ladies still exist – but their fashion sense is entirely different.
Around the time her engagement to Prince Charles was announced, Diana Spencer was the leading Sloane Ranger.
However, according to the Daily Mail, gone are the days of ladies from Belgravia wearing pearls, tweeds, and cardigans. And they’re certainly not interested in spending the weekend at their country pile hunting and shooting. Sloanies are now wearing neons, combat boots, and dark eye makeup – spending their weekends at concerts, nightclubs, and jet-setting from one glam location to another.
The troop is headed by two of fashion’s hottest names, sisters Poppy and Cara Delevingne, Prince Harry’s rumored girlfriend Cressida Bonas, and socialite Lady Mary Furze.
