Famed fashion house Dolce & Gabbana may be shuttering for good.
After a stressful few months of trials and deliberation, where courts were trying to decide whether to send the brand’s owners and namesakes to jail for tax-evasion, it’s now come out that they may have to pay €343 million in fines.
Their legal team is currently appealing the decision, which could spell financial ruin for the company. However, even if the decision is repealed, the brand has been ordered to close their nine stores in Milan after the scandal and they’re being sued by Peter Fonda for using his image on a shirt without his prior consent.
In an interview, Dolce said,
“We will close,” said Dolce. “What do you want us to do? We will close. We will not be able to deal with it. (It’s) impossible.”
Things aren’t looking good for the legendary brand.
