You guys – it’s Coachella time! To kick off the first of this three weekend, musical extravaganza in the desert, I’ve decided to provide you with a tibble that’s totally Coachelle appropriate, and Royal approved.
Ellie Goulding (one of my absolute, favorite artists) is performing on April 11 (today!) and April 18 at Coachella. She also performed at The Royal Wedding. Yes, that royal wedding – she sang the first dance song for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (aka Prince William and Kate Middleton). That’s pretty damn big time.
To honor this British songstress and her royal connections, I’ve decided to pass along the Crack Baby – which happens to be the favorite bev of The Duke and Duchess and their friends. (For the record, Ellie Goulding has admitted to loving a cocktail for a night out, but tends to stick to Vodka Tonics.)
The Crack Baby Cocktail
Ingredients.
- Ice
- 1/2 carton Passionfruit Juice
- 1/2 bottle vodka
- 1 lb. strawberries
- Champagne
Directions.
- Mix the ice, passionfruit juice, vodka and chopped strawberries in a blender and blend well.
- Half-fill glasses, then top with champagne.
(Fun fact: There are some bars that serve this as a shot, rather than a full cocktail – the choice is yours!)
