The first weekend of Coachella kicked off yesterday, and as expected Young Hollywood was out in droves, stomping around the polo field turned festival camping ground in designer boots and boho frocks.
In the last few years Coachella has become the streetstyle mecca – even more so than perhaps the sidewalks outside of New York and London Fashion Week shows (#NYFW and #LFW).
For the most part, it seems the big trend this year at Coachella is boots – from combat boots to cowboy boots, and everything in between. In years past we’ve seen lots of gladiator sandals, and even some platform wedges, but it seems that the ladies have decided practical is better than pretty – those fields get muddy, quick!
Singer Ellie Goulding (who I love) hit the stage in a black leather ensemble, complete with a pair of Nike sneakers. The popstar is an avid runner and has a partnership with Nike, which explains her choice of shoe. Well, that and the fact that she does lots of fantastic jumping around the stage during her sets.
Bastille also performed this weekend, entertaining the crowds with their hit Pompeii (among others) – which you can check out here!
