The Duchess of Cambridge (nee Kate Middleton) was out and about yesterday at two official royal engagements.
At her first engagement of the day, Kate donned a slightly nautical themed dress to help kick off the British America’s Cup quest with Sir Ben Ainslie. The dress was from High Street brand Jaeger, and retailing at 150GBP the frock will surely sell out soon, if it hasn’t already. (At the time of writing, the dress was no longer listed on the Jaeger website.)
From there, Kate made a quick outfit change before heading over to Buckingham Palace for a Garden Party. While The Queen throws a number of Garden Parties throughout the year, this one was especially important, as it marks her husband – Prince Philip, The Duke of Edinburgh’s – 93rd birthday. For this occassion Kate changed into a dress we’ve seen before – her bespoke Alexander McQueen lace sheath dress that she first debuted at the Diamond Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving in 2012. She teamed it with repeat pumps and a clutch, as well as a brand new, specially designed Jane Taylor fascinator.
The Duchess wasn’t the only royal lady on hand at the Garden Party – The Queen was in attendance, as were Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, and Princess Eugenie of York. Princess Eugenie’s attendance was a bit of a surprise, as she’s currently living in New York for her job at auction house Paddle 8. Princess Eugenie later attended a charity event with her mother, Sarah, Duchess of York and Eugenie’s good friendĀ Cressida Bonas, who is Prince Harry’s most recent ex-girlfriend.
