There are some days when I sit back and think what did I do to deserve this? Sometimes I think it in a good way, and sometimes I think it in a bad way.
Yesterday, I thought it in both ways. I got some news that, while not particularly devastating, was certainly not what I wanted – or needed – to hear. A few hours later though, I got some news that counteracted the bad news – by a lot.
However, the good news didn’t just fall into my lap. I had been planning on the bad news (not that specific bad news, but something similar) for a while now and formulating a backup plan. And when it did happen, the timing could not have been better. I was literally only sad for about 2 hours before I got a great phone call.
With that – sometimes you just need to believe that good things happen to good people (even if sometimes it doesn’t seem like it) and let the cards fall where they may. I’m not a particularly religious or spiritual person, but I do believe that you get what you give. If you put good energy and hard work out there, you’ll get what you need. It may not happen overnight or exactly when you want it – but it will happen when you need it, and that’s what’s most important.
