Now this, ladies and gentlemen, is a wedding gown.
Nicky Hilton – younger sister of Paris – married James Rothschild (yes, of those Rothschilds) over the weekend and wore the most beautiful wedding gown I’ve ever laid eyes on.
The lace Valentino gown had long sleeves and seemed to take a note from Grace Kelly (Princess Grace of Monaco) and Kate Middleton’s (The Duchess of Cambridge) handbook with long sleeves and a gorgeous train.
The venue was also one fit for a royal, with the ceremony and reception – as well as the morning after brunch – taking place at The Orangery at Kensington Palace.
To be 100% honest, the dress threw me for a moment due to the long sleeves in the middle of July factor, but as you can see from the closeup shot below – the lace is a very summery lace with a very wide and open design.
Her gown was complimented by custom made Christian Louboutin pumps (naturally) that were embellished with crystals spelling out her new name (#MrsRothschild) and her wedding date on the heels.
Of course, the hotel heiress turned fashion designer didn’t stay in this gown all evening. She was spotted returning to Claridge’s in the wee hours of the morning – along with her new husband – dressed to the nines in a sparkling mini-dress (seriously, it’s very mini), a different pair of shoes, and showing off her gorgeous new wedding band.
