After months of speculation, Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, has announced – officially – that he is leaving the RAF and plans to return to London with his wife, The Duchess of Cambridge (nee Kate Middleton) and their newborn son, Prince George.
During his visit to the Anglesey Show, which is where William and Kate currently rent their 5-bedroom home, Prince William revealed that his contract with the RAF ends next month, and he will be headed back to London to live with Kate and George in their newly renovated apartment in Kensington Palace.
Speaking to the crowd William said,
“I know that I speak for Catherine when I say that I have never in my life known somewhere as beautiful and as welcoming as Anglesey. The views across the Menai Straits are undoubtedly among the most stunning in the British Isles. I know that both of us will miss it terribly when my Search and Rescue tour of duty comes to an end next month and we have to move elsewhere.”
Prince William also revealed during his time at the Anglesey Show that he and Kate are hopeful that they’ll be visiting Australia on an official tour next year, and that Prince George will accompany them.
