I am addicted to my Google Reader RSS feed. I follow lots of different blogs – Barstool Sports, The Gloss, Just Jared, Mais Fica – just to name a few of my favorites.
I also am addicted to my twitter (follow me!) and I really enjoy not only posting short little blurbs about what I’m doing (that probably no one in the world cares about), but also following celebrities, news outlets, etc. Through Twitter, I have found myself frequently on The Huffington Pots’s website, reading articles & loving every minute of it.
So, I did what any girl would do and I added them to my beloved RSS feed. BIG MISTAKE! They post about 50 articles an hour (no joke) and my RSS feed was flooded.
My RSS feed, apparently, is a sacred place. I am very careful with what I put on there – to make the cut a blog needs to be hilarious (for a portion of the time), informative (whether w/ real new or celebrity news) or (ideally) both. But when – every single time I check my feed – I have 100+ articles (and I check it roughly every 2 hours), that’s a problem. I have a JOB, you know – Huffington. I can’t just sit there & read ALL day… even though I would love to.
Ok – end rant. 🙂
