… or not.
I found out today that my wonderful employer had decided to withhold my pay for this pay period, since I had taken a lot of time off recently due to a death in the family & illness, & am nearing the completion of my 3.5 weeks notice. HA! Fat chance. I have bills to pay, biatches – so I will be getting a check cut for me no later than Monday at 5:30pm or I won’t be coming in next week – that’s fair, right? You don’t pay me, I don’t work. Sounds good.
In other news – the Jersey Shore premiered last night & I am embarrassed to say that not only was I excited to see it, I also loved every minute of it. So obviously, I should post that for the entire internet to read, right? (b/c I KNOW the entire internet reads this ish.) Those kids are ridiculous, but I can’t help feeling like Snooki & Sammi could be my best friends… although – I won’t lie – I am terrified of JWOWW.
I’ve begun reading – on my own accord – “McClurg’s 1L of a Ride”. I decided that prior to entering law school I’d like to be prepared, know what to expect in my classes, etc. And I’m really proud of myself for taking the initiative. The book reads quickly & is informative and McClurg’s advice definitely has put my mind at ease. So thanks McClurg! (I really just like his name.)
Also, it gave me an excuse to purchase another book for my Kindle for Mac/Droid (I don’t have an actual Kindle – I just use the apps available for free). I read the entire Sookie Stackhouse series via Kindle and loved every minute of it. Although I do kind of miss the feeling of turning pages, I’m sure that once law school starts I’ll get my fill of that.
