I tend to be a procrastinator. But not just your ordinary, ho-hum procrastinator. Oh no. I am pretty much the World Champ of Procrastinating. In fact, as I write this, I should be doing homework for my class later this afternoon. But I’m not. And I obviously didn’t do it last night. Why? Because I had so much timeee. Why do things early & in a timely manner if I could bang it out at the last minute? The weirdest part? With the exception of my procrastination habit, I am a super Type-A personality. Like woah. (7th grade throw back, holler!)
So here is a list of things I’ve found that are WAY more entertaining than doing homework!! Feel free to add yours to the comments, post them to Twitter (twitter.com/@theblogtini) or shoot me an e-mail (theblogtini@gmail.com).
- The obvious: Watching TV (this includes catching up on your DV-R/Hulu shows)
- Watching movies you’ve seen so many times you can recite them word for word
- Watching mid-term election coverage even though you didn’t vote (I know, bad Blogtini. Whatever.)
- Organizing your bookshelf with the intent that “once organized” you’ll commence work
- Watching “Real Housewives of [insert anywhere]” Marathons
- Reading magazines looking for interesting hairstyles that you know your hair’ll never cooperate with
- Trying said hairstyles
- Working on writing your “novel”
- Write blog posts about procrastinating and all the great ways to do it
- Reading any book OTHER THAN your law school books (I’ve read the entire Pretty Little Liars series, all The Vampire Diaries books available on Kindle, and all of the Sookie Stackhouse novels [aka the books True Blood is based on] this semester, and am currently reading Lauren Conrad’s 2nd book)
- Make lists of all the things you need to get done and including really easy things that you can finish in 3 seconds (ie: make bed) so that you can feel accomplished when you cross it off (this is my favorite one!)
