To quote one of my favorite radio personalities (Taylor Strecker from Wake Up With Taylor on Cosmo Radio on SiriusXM – seriously, check it out! The entire station is amazing!) “DON’T DO IT GAL!!”
E! News is reporting that Eva Longoria & Tony Parker (her husband of 3 years who carried on a text-message relationship with his teammate’s wife) were spotted out today being “lovey-dovey”. UNACCEPTABLE.
I do not care that he didn’t have sex with her, carrying on an “emotional relationship” is just as bad as carrying on a physical relationship.
I’m not going to wax on about “once a cheater, always a cheater,” because I don’t actually believe that to be true. People can realize the error of their ways, and they can change. However, I think that once someone has cheated on you, the chances of them doing it again are pretty high. Once they know that they can do something and get away with it, and you will just keep forgiving them, there isn’t much to keep them from doing it again and again and again.
AND – this guy not only betrayed his wife, but his teammate, someone he saw arguably (due to the couple’s busy travel schedules) more than his wife. And this wasn’t a one time thing, or even something that happened a few times, he carried on a “relationship” with her for over a year. A YEAR.
So, to Ms. Longoria – who is a beautiful woman that also seems to have her shit together and a good head on her shoulders – don’t do it!
