Just A Day, Just An Ordinary Day…

Well. Law school grades are trickling in – and although I’ve made the decision to leave law school, I still wanted to do WELL. It’s a little easier to throw away the $15k if I know that I at least learned something. But, alas, not all my grades have been so great. Actually – they’ve all been really good except for 1 – Property. Which is entirely unsurprising. SO – this is going to be my last ever post mentioning law school.I will be officially withdrawing next week, and that will be the end of that very short but expensive chapter in my life.
In other news – I had a meeting with a staffing agency today and I’ve got another one tomorrow. The one I met with today said that they’ve got a position in mind for me (which actually sounds like a REALLY excellent opportunity) but they aren’t sure if it’s still available. So we shall see. The one tomorrow is with the same company that placed me at my first job, so hopefully they can come through for me again.
AND – in important/exciting news. I bought new jeans today, yay! (And a reeeally comfy soft sweater that was on clearance.)  Thanks to Boyfriend’s mother & father for the American Eagle gift card for Christmas. As I’ve mentioned, I lost some weight over the summer (not a ton, but when you’re only 5’2″ losing any weight makes it easy to slip down a few sizes) and needed new jeans. And now, I’ve got some. So yay! It was wonderful spending money that wasn’t coming out of my incredibly minute bank account.
So these are the jeans I bought:
AE Skinny Jeans – Bright Indigo
AE Slim Boot Cut – Soft Dark
I already own TONS of pairs of light colored jeans, so I decided to go with some darker dyed ones.
Now, generally I am a “quality over quantity” type of person. I’d rather have 1 really nice thing (purse, shirts, shoes, etc.) than than 10 cheap things that will fall apart. So a lot of people might be surprised that I buy my jeans from American Eagle, but the truth is that I feel American Eagle jeans are very good quality.
AND since I practically LIVE in jeans, I can’t really afford to go buying a zillion pairs of wicked expensive jeans. However, I do LOVE the designer jeans, and my goal in life (besides owning a pair of Louboutins) is to own a pair of Chloe jeans.
Boyfriend says I am crazy for wanting to spend that much money on a pair of jeans or shoes, BUT he will ONLY wear dress socks from Polo – so … who’s the ridiculous one now? No one even SEES your socks. And they don’t last NEARLY as long as a pair of jeans or shoes does. At least I want to make worthwhile investments. Hehe.
Ok that’s all for now. My youngest sister has a track meet this evening, so dad & I are going to go cheer her on. 🙂
