I am sick of applying for jobs. I am tired to death of switching back and forth from Monster to Indeed to LinkedIn.
I also feel ridiculous every time I post on one of my Twitter accounts, or on my Facebook, that I am looking for a job.
So I am going to take one last stab at this public humiliation networking thing. Then, it’s back to the traditional methods of job hunting: job boards and staffing agencies.
Here it is – my personal plea to the Internet Gods for a job. Or a connection to anyone who might be able to get me a job.
I really, really like writing. Marketing and Public Relations fascinate me. I am ADDICTED to social media. As it turns out, I am an EXTRAORDINARY multi-tasker, and have the most wonderful attention to detail ever. I am so organized that when I was younger my sister used to intentionally mess up my bedroom just to watch me have little mini-meltdowns. My Google Calendar is pretty much the most sacred thing in my life, second only to my Droid (to which said calendar syncs so amazingly).
In my previous life (aka – when I was gainfully employed) I worked on the operations side of an IT company, and I think I was pretty darn good at that. I did everything from client and vendor relations, to creating and implementing processes and procedures for all sorts of fun and exciting things.
I’m a quick learner, and I give everything 110%. I do things on time, and I do them well. Generally, I do them early. I procrastinate in my personal life, but at work things are always done when they are supposed to be done.
I could basically accept a position anywhere from Newport, RI to Manchester, NH.
SO – if anyone has any leads that they think I might be a good fit for, that doesn’t involve just answering a phone and being someone’s personal note taker, please let me know. And if you know of a job that DOES involve those two things – let me know. I’ll take it. And I’ll impress the pants off whoever I work for and get myself promoted (I did it once, I can do it again).
E-mail any and all appropriate* leads to theblogtini at gmail dot com.
* Appropriate = anything that could be defined as a “traditional” job. Also, anything that looks super shady (e.g., doesn’t have a legit company website) will be disregarded, so don’t waste your time trying to waste mine.
