Awkward
- Thinking I left the space heater on at work, so going back there an hour after I’ve left only to have no way to get in the building b/c I don’t have a key, but seeing that there are still people there, so staking out the parking lot until they come out to ask them to go back in & unplug it, just for safe measure… and having them think I am a freak/stalker/crazy person.
- Being petrified of my boss but having a one-on-one meeting with him to go over some assignments.
- Asking a question & as I’m asking it, having the answer come to me so that mid-way through my question I abruptly stop talking.
- Having to go to the gym in person to cancel a membership… it’s basically publicly announcing my laziness/cheapness.
Awesome
- Getting $2,000 back on my taxes – yeeeah kids! Last year I owed money. The years before that I got like, $10 back (no joke). So this is amazing.
- Being smart enough to make the decision to put that money directly into an IRA/CD/something where I can’t get to it, so that I am actually SAVING money (this is a BIG deal).
- Getting assigned projects at work that actually have some substance, AND are directly related to what I want to be when I grow up (… uhm, even though I guess I should have grown up 2 years ago when I graduated college).
- Stepping on the scale for the first time in a while & seeing that my addiction to pizza isn’t hurting me as much as I had anticipated.
