Awkward
- Being late to work because you’ve got to have your brand new car towed because it’s doing weird things – and that weird thing ends up being caused because a “giant spider” made a “huge nest” in a tube that caused a flood in your coolant tube. Actually, that’s more “disgusting” than “awkward”.
- Going to the lady doctor, and having them ask you if it’s alright if a student-nurse sits in on your exam. Uhm no, that isn’t alright – it’s awkward enough as it is… I don’t need two people hanging out down there…
- Having a pair of shoes that you absolutely love, that for some reason squeek with every step you take … in your super quiet office.
- Thursday is trash day – which means it’s time to empty the kitty litter. And sometimes the box needs to be rinsed out… using the hose on the back porch… in my fuzzy blue bathrobe. Cute.
- Deciding that I am going to dress “professionally” for work (ie: try to wear jeans less, and wear make-up more) and ending up being severely over dressed at all times in my super casual workplace. (But dudes, I’m sorry – I feel better if I am dressed for work while I’m actually at work.)
Awesome
- Rainy days when it’s 100% acceptable to sit inside and be a lazy bum.
- Going to King Richard’s Fair this weekend with boyfriend to see a Liger! A real live Liger! … actually, that’s really dorky, and probably better classified as “Awkward”.
- My bed. Seriously – it’s the most comfortable place ever. I have daydreams at work of going home, snugging up in my bed, and watching TV all night.
- The show “Revenge” on ABC. I am obsessed.
- I bought some new super cute dresses last weekend to wear to some events I’ve got coming up – and they are absolutely amazing, and I love them… and I go them at Target. BOO YAH!
- Amanda Knox was found innocent and got to come home. I’m sorry – but I just think that’s amazing and I am so happy for that girl!
