I must, must, must see this movie (trailer below)!
Madonna – the Queen of Pop – has written/directed/produced a film about the storied relationship of Wallis Simpson and King Edward VIII, who abdicated so that he could marry Wallis. If you’ve learned one thing about me from this blog, it’s that I love anything to do with the British Royal family, and the story of Wallis and Edward is no exception!
The Daily Mail has written a great article about the making of this movie, which I highly recommend you read. It goes into detail about how Madonna became fascinated on the story of Wallis and Edward, the troubles she had getting the movie into production, and then getting the cast and crew to stay on, and lays out the process of decorating the set and creating the costumes (Cartier!).
