2012 Holiday Gift Guide | #1 – Gifts for Coziness

Welcome to the 2012 Holiday Gift Guide!
I did a really great, extensive gift guide in 2010 and then didn’t really bother with it that much in 2011. This year, I’ve decided to do it again! I’m starting off with some gifts that will make anyone happy – because who doesn’t love being cozy and warm?

Previously, I’ve tried to find one gift for the gents and one gift for the ladies to showcase each day, however with something like this it appears that all “cozy” gifts are either female specific, or unisex and there isn’t much out there in the way of male specific coziness.

Cozy Gift #1

Spencer N. Home PomPom Throw
Company: Spencer N. Home (available at Nordstrom)
Featured Item: PomPom Throw, $49.00
Don’t these blankets look glorious? I kind of want to buy a bunch of them for myself, pile them up, add a comfy pillow and then jump into them like a pile of leaves. Unfortunately, things like that are frowned upon when you’re an adult. But that doesn’t mean you can’t give these as gifts for your loved one to curl  up with on a cold day. Pair it with a cute mug and hot cocoa, sit back, and watch as your gift becomes a holiday hit!
{Note: Before Boyfriend and I moved in together, we would frequently squabble over who got the “good” blanket at his old apartment. Once we moved in together I brought my own blanket from home, and now we’ve each got a dedicated throw blanket in the living room for maximum coziness. That anecdote goes to show that even the manliest man will love their own perfect throw blanket, so don’t think of this gift item as something only a gal would adore!}

Cozy Gift #2
Company: Ann Taylor LOFT
Featured Item: Faux Fur Pailette Popover Scarf, $49.50

Ann Taylor LOFT Faux Fur Pailette Popover Scarf

There is a good chance that if I had this scarf, I would never, ever take it off. Ever. I love that it looks absolutely luxurious and soft, but has a bit of sequins on it to add some shine. Also – it’s freaking adorable… and I don’t have much to write about it, other than that. So there.
