Boyfriend tends to let me run a-muck when it comes to decorating the apartment (bless his heart!), but there’s two things he’s been a bit vocal about disliking:
- Full-length mirrors (the over-the-door kind, or ones stuck to a wall)
- Over-the-door shoe racks
Which has put me in the absolutely ridiculous situation of not owning a full-length mirror! When I’m getting ready in the morning I can only easily see what my outfit looks like from my hips up. If I want to check out how my legs are doing I’ve got to either stand on the foot of the bed, or the toilet (depending on which room I’m in, obviously) to get a view of the rest.
The shoe rack thing… well, too bad dude. I’ve got way too many shoes to leave them just piled on the floor of the closet. However, since he told me he thinks the over-the-door shoe hanger-thingy I’ve got in our bedroom closet is “tacky,” I’ve been looking for some options that will store my shoes and appease Boyfriend. And here’s what I’ve come up with:
