I used to religiously post Awkward/Awesome Thursday sets, but at some point it just kind of petered out, so I’m bringing it back!
Awkward
- Having to wear your least favorite, most unflattering outfit to work because you brought all of your clothes to the dry cleaners at the same time.
- That weird thing that happens when your shoe randomly sticks to the ground and you nearly go flying forward into a wall. No, just me? Okay.
- Having to bitch out your apartment management people because you have ants… still… after 3 months. And then having the exterminator that shows up be someone you know.
- Eating candy for breakfast. This one classifies as an “awesome” until a co-worker catches you and looks at you like you’re five years old.
Awesome
- Anniversaries! Today is my 6 year anniversary with Boyfriend. He sent the most gorgeous flowers (above) to me at work, which had pretty much every woman in the building jealous!
- Boyfriend, in general. He’s amazing and I love him. So, so much. </end sappiness>
- Landing a dream job, even if it’s only part-time.
- Having freshly polished shoes. For some reason I’ve become obsessed with making sure my shoes are neatly polished and scuff free. I know that’s probably something most people do their entire adult lives, but I’m just getting into this “I’m a grown-up” thing.
