There’s a new trend in fashion, and it is – essentially – creating clothing lines based off of television programs or movies.
Banana Republic spearheaded the movement with their Mad Men and Anna Karenina lines (which were both gorgeous), and those were followed by a Downton Abbey inspired line, as well as collections from Brooks Brothers and Tiffany and Co. in honor of The Great Gatsby.
If you’ve been anxiously trying to figure out how you can dress like the ladies of Revenge without breaking the bank (those ladies wear high-fashion designer labels on set), you can now breath a sigh of relief. ABC and Matchbook Co. are teaming up with ABC’s licensing division to bring straight from the screen looks into your closet.
According to WWD, we can expect “body-hugging frocks… lingerie, accessories, and shoes.” They may also be throwing in plus-size apparel, which is refreshing.
